Peanut butter and jelly

I never thought I'd love a writer. In fact I never thought I'd date a writer. Actually every single boy I've dated has claimed to be a writer. A few have written sappy, generic poetry attempting to come across as a hopeless romantic. Others have simply claimed to be writers because they could text, which, I'm sure every person between the ages of 8 and 40 are capable of doing. Thse things do not make someone a writer. The elements of honestly and the pure ability to make the words flow out on paper is what makes someone a writer. The person I love is a true writer. I too am a writer as this piece is utterly honest and hopefully the words it contains don't resemble nails scratching on the chalkboard. But how strange: Two writers. The world always says opposites attract. But the question is, do they always stay attracted. People say, "Like peanut butter and jelly." But honestly are peanut butter and jelly really opposites? I say. Not really. Peanuts are squashed, grapes are squashed. They are much alike when put together. However combinations such as peanut butter and jelly sandwitches and chicken noodle soup? The two are opposites in the food family yet it can be said that together they attract certain people. Yes. There are are people out there who eat these things together and actually enjoy the taste. But does it work for everyone one? Absolutly not. So opposites do attract yes. But the taste may not last for everyone. I am one of the many who has found a similar personality to be the attracting point. We are like peanut butter and jelly, however we are not opposites. We are writers. And just like a peanut butter and jelly sandwhich is to a kindergardner, we are just about as perfect as it gets.
